Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British American musician and sitarist, is most well-known for her songs. She was the first and youngest woman to receive the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Shakar, a young emerging superstar on the Indian Sitar is Anoushka. She is Ravi Shankar's student, and the daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was a child who bounded back and forth from London and New Delhi. Her debut performance was in New Delhi when she was only 13 years old. In Encinitas CA in 1999 she received an honorary high school diploma. Anouskha still has a promising performing and recording careers, even though she's young. She has been performing with her father on stage for many years. In 1998 she released her first self-titled album Anourag. The Grammy Award-winning Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years following her debut solo album. The stage work she has done is vast as she has been in every one of the world's major venues. Anoushka Shankar's professional life isn't limited to the music industry. She released Bapi the Heart of My Life, in the year 2002. It is a biography which pays tribute to her father Ravi Shankar. The year 2003 saw her was a part in Dance Like a Man as the Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka Shakar's profession will continue to grow and develop. It is possible to look forward to seeing many new things from her. Anoushka was born in England however, she spent the majority of her youth in between London as well as Delhi. After that, she relocated to California and attended the high school. From the age of nine she started studying music with her father, who made her debut on the sitar four years later during the celebration of his 75th birthday in Delhi. Alongside her father, he toured the world Anoushka racked up a wealth of experience performing in Carnegie Hall while still in her teens. She performed at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival, and also making recordings together with George Harrison. To honor her position as one of the top musicians in Asian Arts, she was presented with the House of Commons Shield by British Parliament.
